Description of Services
Kad Design Alterations provides professional clothing alteration and custom manufacturing services, including but not limited to:
- Clothing alterations (hemming, taking in/out, sleeve adjustments, etc.)
- Custom clothing manufacturing and bespoke tailoring
- Wedding dress alterations and bridal services
- Formal wear tailoring
- Leather goods repair and customization
- Zipper and button replacement services
Service Terms and Conditions
Appointments and Consultations
- Appointments are recommended for complex alterations and custom work
- Walk-ins are welcome during business hours for simple alterations
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
- Late arrivals may result in rescheduling of appointments
Measurements and Fittings
- Accurate measurements are essential for proper alterations
- Multiple fittings may be required for complex alterations
- Clients must wear appropriate undergarments during fittings
- We reserve the right to refuse service if proper fitting conditions are not met
Turnaround Times
- Standard turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on workload
- Rush services are available for additional fees
- Delays due to unforeseen circumstances or garment complexity will be communicated promptly
- Pickup must occur within 30 days of completion notification
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion and pickup of services
- We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards
- Custom projects may require a 50% deposit before work begins
- Prices are subject to change based on garment complexity and additional work required
- All prices are in US dollars and include applicable taxes
Quality and Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee:
- If you are not satisfied with our work, we will make necessary corrections at no additional charge
- Our guarantee covers workmanship issues and adherence to agreed specifications
- Claims must be made within 30 days of service completion
- Guarantee does not cover normal wear, damage, or changes to body measurements
Liability and Risk
Garment Handling
- We exercise reasonable care in handling all garments
- Clients assume risk for vintage, delicate, or damaged garments
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or fabric failures
- Color bleeding, shrinkage, or other fabric reactions are the client's responsibility
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the alteration service provided. We are not liable for:
- Consequential or indirect damages
- Loss of use or enjoyment of garments
- Replacement value of damaged garments beyond service cost
- Delays in service completion
Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about desired alterations
- Inform us of any fabric sensitivities or special care requirements
- Attend scheduled fitting appointments
- Pick up completed garments within 30 days
- Pay for services in a timely manner
- Report any concerns within 30 days of service completion
Unclaimed Items
Garments not picked up within 60 days of completion notification may be:
- Subject to storage fees of $5 per item per month
- Donated to charity after 90 days
- Disposed of after 120 days
Intellectual Property
Custom designs and patterns created by Kad Design Alterations remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients may not reproduce or distribute our original designs without permission.
Privacy and Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding client measurements, personal information, and design preferences. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, supply chain disruptions, or public health emergencies.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through:
- Direct communication and good faith negotiation
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration under Texas law if mediation is unsuccessful
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal proceedings must be conducted in Travis County, Texas.
